Super Mario Bros For The Wii Is Better Than It Looks
I only recently had a chance to play the new Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Wii despite its release in November. When I first heard of it, I had serious doubts. As an avid fan of the old NES Super Mario Bros, I figured this new version would be geared for little itty bitty kids. Multiplayer Maro Bros sounded dumb to me. How can more than one person play Super Mario Bros at a time? The NES version was turn by turn, so initially I disliked the Wii version.
The other day I ventured over to my friends house. Apparently she and her brother were going to play Super Mario Bros on Wii. I was interested in watching but they told me I could play as well. Sure, why not?
The new Super Mario Bros for the Wii is very different from the original NES version, but different in a good way. Old fans wouldn't be disappointed. I wasn't! Four players playing one level at the same time was insane. It was chaotic and fun. Much like the Mario Parties, the new SMB features a more "party-like" game play, involving everyone and their mother in the fun. Some might say that the chaos on screen is frustrating, but dying a lot and having a bunch of "continues" on my record is no big deal (to me atleast).
Have you tried Super Mario Brothers for Nintendo Wii? Does it live up to it's legendary predecessor?

That game is so awesome! It was easily one of the most challenging things I've played in a long ass time. Didn't help that the rest of my team died constantly, slowing us down, but still, it was pretty rough.

When I first heard about it, I was excited because it was 2d, and honestly, I haven't really been able to finish a 3d mario game. I wasn't too disappointed with the game. It could have been a bit longer.
My husband bought it last week and we both love it. Once the kids go to bed we are both sitting on the couch playing it. Two thumbs up from me.
no its better because you can be toad or save toad and you can do a level with more then one player. yes its a blast. however the hidden level 9 can be hard if you play it alone. you need more then one person. yes its a party game......
I love it! My family and I were snowed in this weekend so I spent most of my time watching my brother and his girlfriend play it. She's not too big into video games so it was funny to watch her. I think the more players you have the more entertaining it is plus it's good for working on concentration. The more players there are they harder it is to watch your own character.

It's a lot of fun, especially when there's 2-4 people playing . Chaos!
My son is 7 and he got Super Mario for Wii for Christmas. He beat the game in 3 days. He does like the Wii version better than the old NES game because of the graphics and he said it was much more challenging. Today he beat Mario Galaxy and is currently working on Super Paper Mario where you can flip between 2 and 3 D.
is this still fun with only 2 players? I only have 2 wiimotes.

I'm not much a of a gamer, but I've always loved to play and watch people play mario games! I bought this for myself over winter break, so that I have something to do during the month long break and it is a really fun game! except I suck at video games in general, so I kinda stopped playing
